In a world cluttered with marketing messages, how does Bellwood, Ill.-based fullservice solutions provider Rider Dickerson reach their customers and create new business opportunities? In one word: education.
"For us, business development is all about bringing value to our customers in the form of education," said Dean Petrulakis, senior vice president of business development at Rider Dickerson. "The best way to stay engaged with our customers is to provide the meaningful, relevant content that they need to grow their businesses or their clients’ businesses."
Rider Dickerson installed its first HP Indigo press in 2008, and after attending Dscoop4, Petrulakis was energized about where the company could go with the opportunities of digital print. Working with key business partner GPA, a substrate specialist and Dscoop Platinum Partner, Petrulakis helped forge an intensive threepart training series to help the Rider sales team learn more about the range of substrates and applications available on the HP Indigo. Petrulakis saw great value in those training sessions and wanted to turn them into a seminar for customers, which was how printForum began.
